Well, it would appear that my "Day 3" notes didn't save. I think that was the night I fell asleep sitting up and typing.... I woke up and saw the computer was on the "save as" screen, but I must not have completed the function.... I do have pictures though, so it helped me to remember some of the things we did that day.
Liam and I went to Propriety School (ettiquette school of sorts) that housed scholars over 600 years ago. While there, we learned about the official tea ceremony.... Sophie, we will do our best to remember as much as possible, so we can do one when we get home!
We also learned the offical bowing practices - not one style, but three! It was a lot of fun... Liam said that I did a pretty good job...lol
We had some free time at lunch, so Liam and I took a quick run to some of the shops looking for electrical converters.... with no luck. But we did dodge many mopead/motor bikes on the sidewalk... it was too funny. Health and safety is definately NOT priority here...lol I did get a great shot of these two men playing Korean/Chinese chess I beleive it is called.
We visited an old palace and recieved a lovely tour which included a mock wedding ceremony. It was very nice.
From there, we went to the Seoul Tower - much like the CN Tower, only not as high in terms of the actual structure, but definately higher in elevation, as it is placed on a hill.
After that, we probably went out for dinner... Honestly, it seems that this is all we do.. ride the bus, walk around eat, and ride the bus some more. I certainly don't mean that in a negative way... as it is all so very interesting, and the bus rides do provide for some resting, but this trip is SO organized, I think they have it down right to the minute!
Anyhow... that is about it for Day 3 that I can remember ;o)
I've attached a small video clip that Liam took using my digital camera (not the camcorder) of these street performers taken at the Seoul Tower. Enjoy!
